gap setting: 0,1 mm (smallest possible gap setting)
Equipment:
grinding disks made of hardened steel cast
Feed quantity:
190 g
Feed Size:
~ 150-250 µm
Grinding time:
1 min
Final fineness:
57% < 50 µm
Comments:
The complete sample amount which has been provided has been used for this test. Within 60 seconds, the sample got ground. Because only 1 dimension of particles need to be < 100 µm to pass the gap, a maximum length up to 200 µm is possible to be found.
Only fine dust, attached by electrostatic charge use to remain inside the grinding chamber. Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush. For this, even higher amounts of sample should be grindable without problems.
We sieved an aliquot of sample with our Vibratory Sieve Shaker ANALYSETTE 3 Pro and a test sieve of 50 µm to determine the particle size distribution. We found already 57 % of particles which are able to pass the test sieve.
