rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide (WC)
+ sieve cassette: 1.00 mm trapezoidal perforations, stainless steel
Feed quantity:
900 g
Feed Size:
6 cm
Grinding time:
10 min
Final fineness:
< 1 mm
Comments:
Also a rotor made of steel can be used for a comminution of such a sample.
We recommend using a rotor with knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide in case that nails or stones might be found inside the sample. Such a rotor also use to have a much longer durability.
Sample uses to be dry enough to get ground properly without clogging the openings of the sieve cassette. For this, even higher amounts of sample can be fed.
After 10 minutes of grinding, the complete sample has been fed and grinding sound already stopped. The grinding chamber uses to be empty, only a few particles use to lie loose on top of the sieve cassette and will not been grabbed by the rotor anymore.
Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
