rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide (WC)
+sieve cassette: 0.25 mm trapezoidal perforation stainless steel
Feed quantity:
50 g
Feed Size:
12 cm
Grinding time:
3 min
Final fineness:
99 % < 400 µm
Comments:
For the usage of the standard funnel (for long and bulk solids), we recommend a max sample diameter < 3 cm. With this flexible material, sample can be fed even bigger.
For smaller amounts of sample, a standard rotor with V-cutting edges will be fulfilling. With a sharper cutting angle, output speed might be a little better. For a daily grinding of higher amounts of sample, we recommend choosing the rotor with fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide for a much longer durability.
With smallest standard sieve cassette, still a few fibers can pass the openings of the sieve cassette longitudinal. For this, even some fibers with > 400 µm can be spotted in the collecting vessel.
Cleaning of the grinding chamber can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
A particle size analysis of ground particles with Laser Particle Sizer ANALYSETTE 22 MicroTec has shown that already 99 % of sample use to be < 400 µm.
