A grinding of the desired amount of sample is possible with our Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 in combination with the optional sample exhauster system with cyclone separator.
standard rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of tool steel
+ sieve cassette 0,5 mm trapzeloidal perforation
+ sample exhauster system with cyclone separator
Feed quantity:
700 g
Feed Size:
5 min
Grinding time:
15 min
Final fineness:
< 0,5 mm
Comments:
With a max. feed rate (always a properly filled grinding chamber), we ground the complete sample amount within 15 minutes. After grinding, a bit of electrostatic charged sample use to stick lightly to the grinding chamber (rotor, sieve cassette and housing). Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
We also observed that the rotor heated up to almost 95 °C during the grinding process. If higher amounts as 700 g should be ground, we recommend to reduce the feed rate. This way, the output speed might be reduced, but a proper airflow inside the grinding chamber will chill sample and grinding parts additionally.
To automatize the feeding process, also a Vibratory Feeder LABORETTE 24 can be placed on the housing of the Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 with the feeder channel over the feeding funnel of the cutting mill.
