rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide (WC)
+ sieve cassette: 2.00 mm trapezoidal perforation
Feed quantity:
110 g
Feed Size:
< 3 cm (diameter)
Grinding time:
3 min
Final fineness:
< 2 mm
Comments:
With the standard funnel for long and bulk solids, particles with up to 12 cm can be fed. The maximum diameter of sample should be < 3 cm. Else, a pre crushing use to be required with this kind of funnel.
The given sample can be ground to < 2 mm without any problems. After 3 minutes of grinding, only a small amount of sample is lying loose on top of the used sieve cassette. Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide (WC)
+ sieve cassette: 1.00 mm trapezoidal perforation
Feed quantity:
25 g
Feed Size:
< 3 cm (diameter)
Grinding time:
3 min
Final fineness:
< 1 mm
Comments:
Rest of sample has been fed to the machine, using a sieve cassette of only 1 mm trapezoidal perforation.
With this sieve cassette, output speed use to be reduced to ~ 1/4 of the previous trial. Still majority of trapezoidal openings of the used sieve cassette remains free. A grinding of higher amounts is still possible.
For a daily grinding of bone pieces, we recommend using a rotor and fixed knives made of hardmetal tungsten carbide for a longer durability.
