After 5 minutes of dry grinding, all sample has been comminuted to < 500µm.
Sample is not sticking to bowl or balls, a longer dry grinding time is still possible to achieve a better grinding result (see result 2).

After a total grinding time of 10 minutes, fineness has been determined by sieving with a 200 µm mesh test sieve on Vibratory Sieve Shaker ANALYSETTE 3 Pro.
All particles have been able to pass the sieve. Biggest particles might have a length of ~ 150 µm. Still longer grinding times are plausible.

After 2 minutes of grinding at 1300 rpm, all sample use to be ground < 150 µm. Because sample is not sticking to puck, ring or grinding set, a longer dry grinding time is still possible to maintain a better grinding result.
For a grinding to < 500 µm, probably 1 minutes of grinding might be fulfilling with our Vibration Cup Mill PULVERISETTE 9. |
