With standard geometry setting, 70 g of sample got ground within 6 seconds to < 8 mm. Only a few pieces have a length up to 10 mm. Grinding chamber use to be free of residue - a grinding of higher amounts should be possible without any problems.
For a better fineness, changed geometry will set a different movement of jaws, so the biggest gap uses to be smaller as in standard setting (see result 2). |

With changed geometry, the maximum opening of the gap between the two crushing jaws will be minimal. For this, the output of sample will be reduced immensely.
For an equal amount of sample, already 8 minutes have been needed until sample got ground. The maximum length of particles has been < 3 mm. Total grinding time should be faster when sample will be pre ground with coarse gap position fist.
For a grinding of higher amounts of sample, we recommend to combine a Jaw Crusher PULVERISETTE 1 Model I with Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13. Then the pre ground sample of the jaw crusher will fall directly into the feeding funnel of the Disk Mill. With a smallest gap setting of 0,1 mm at the Disk Mill, higher amounts of sample can be ground way finer.
