For a longer durability of fine sieve rings (≤ 0,2 mm) we recommend a pre grinding step with a much more stable coarse sieve ring as shown in this trail.
For a continous grinding process, we used the optional Vibratory Feeder LABORETTE 24.
Within 10 minutes, complete sample amount got fed and ground. Rotor and sieve ring are mainly free of residues, no clogging is shown, even higher amounts of sample can be ground this way. Now the sample can be ground with sieve rings with finer openings (see following results).

After a grinding time of 20 minutes, the complete 50 g of sample gut ground successfully to < 0,2 mm.
Cleaning of grinding chamber can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.

With a sieve ring of only 0,12 mm, an amount of 20 g of sample has been ground. Rotor and sieve ring get hot after 20 minutes of grinding and sample starts to melt between rotor and sieve ring.
Previous embrittlement of sample will liquid nitrogen can improve the maximum sample amount which can be ground as well as using the accessories for grinding large quantities with will optimize the air flow inside the accessories.
At least a batch wise grinding of sample will be possible to comminute the desired sample amount of sample.
An active sample exhauster system with cyclone separator will provide an active air flow of up to 2800 liters air per minute. This way, rotor and sieve ring will become chilled during the grinding process additionally.
