Maize root (fresh)

Sample has been ground for only 5 minutes in suspension as desired. Together with water, we achieved a fine pasty sample.

For this, desired fineness of < 1mm has been achieved without any difficulties.

Longer grinding times are still possible to obtain better endfineness.

For a grinding of higher amounts, still bowls of 250ml and 500ml volume use to be available.

A grinding with smooth surfaced zirconium oxide grinding bowls and balls is not recommended. After 5 minutes of grinding, still some intact root fibers can be found.

For organic samples like this, we recommend using the rugged surfaced material like used in result 1.

With sintered materials, bit of higher abrasion is expected to be found.
