For this trial we recommend using our Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19L equipped with a 4 mm square hole sieve cassette in combination with our high-performance cyclone for pre-grinding. For a finer grinding afterwards, we recommend using our Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line with zirconium oxide accessories e.g. a 125 ml grinding bowl made of zirconium oxide and 9 x 20 mm grinding balls made of zirconium oxide. |

In this trial, we used our Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 L with a 4 mm square hole sieve cassette in combination with our high-performance cyclone separator. The machine speed was set to 1500 rpm.
We used the catalyst sample, which we was cut in half before the grinding, as a batch. The sample was fed and ground within one minute. The grinding noise was typical during the grinding process. Afterwards we checked the grinding chamber and we found only a little bit of sample residues.
Cleaning was performed with a vacuum cleaner and a brush.

In this trial we used our Variable Speed Rotor Mill PULVERISETTE 14 premium line with cutting rotor and 500 µm sieve shells. The machine setting was programmed to 18000 rpm.
We used a small part of the sample, which was previously comminuted with our Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 L, to grind it even finer. The sample was fed and ground within 38 seconds. The grinding noise was typical. By using our mini cyclone, the sample was transferred easy to the collecting glass.
Cleaning was performed by using a vacuum cleaner and a brush.

In this trial we used our Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line with a 125 ml grinding bowl made of zirconium oxide, and 9 x 20 mm grinding balls made of zirconium oxide. The machine setting was programmed to 450 rpm.
We used 10 g of the sample, which was ground in our universal cutting mill PULVERISETTE 19 L before, as a batch. The grinding time was 1 minute. Afterwards, the grinding bowl was checked. The sample was not sticking to the edges of the grinding bowl, so the sample could be ground longer.
Cleaning was done with a water-sand mixture at 450 rpm for a grinding time of 1 minute.
