After 10min of dry grinding, the sample starts to stick, a further grinding in dry conditions is not recommended. To get a higher fineness, it is possible to grind in wet conditions. |

*2: By using agate as desired, the fineness as desired is not possible. Because of the density of only 2.6g /cm³, the energy input is to low. Therefore, ZrO2 has been chosen.
*3: After 5min of grinding, we programmed a pausing time of 20min to avoid overpressure.
*4: See our partice size analysis with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas.No 8065 on separate page.
To get a much finer result we changed the balls from 5mm to 0,5mm balls (See trial 2b). |

*1: After 34ml for 30min with 5mm balls, we switched the balls to 0,5mm and added additionally 20ml H2O. With 30min additional grinding, we grinded the sample for 60min total.
*2: After 5min of grinding, we programmed a pausing time of 20min to avoid overpressure.
*3: See our partice size analysis of the sample with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas.No 8078, on separate page.
If you desire a better fineness, a longer grinding is still possible. By grinding higher amounts, the grinding process will take longer to reach an equal result. |
