*1: After 30min of grinding, there are still particles of 4-5mm that are not grindable. Therefore, a wet grinding is not recommended.
It is impossible to grind the sample in wet conditions. A dry grinding is required. |

*1: See our particle size analysis after 15min of dry grinding with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas.No 7505.
After 15min of dry grinding we received a comparable particle size distribution like the original fine sample shows (compare grinding report 7507 of the original fine sample with d50 < 11,9µm). Therefore, we can proceed the sample the same way as we proceeded the fine sample (trial 2a and 2b).

*1: The water has been added constantly every 30min. to get the best grinding results.
*2: The max fineness was reached after 2h of grinding. Afterwards, the fineness uses to rise. Maybe this effect is caused by a swelling of the fine particles of dental filler in combination with water.
For a longer grinding of your sample, the initial weight of sample needs to be reduced.
*3: See our particle size analysis after 2h of grinding with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas.No 7509.

*1: The water has been added constantly every 30min. After the first two hours we had to added 18ml of water
*2: By the rise of the volume, it was necessary to take out a small sample for filling in the final 6ml of water.
*3: See our particle size analysis after 8h of grinding with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas.No 7532.
See as well, the particle size analysis after 4h of grining with ANALYSETTE 22 NanoTec, on Meas. No. 7511 (d50 < 2,6µm) After two hours of grinding (trail 2a), the fineness started to rise. Therefore, we could not recommend a longer grinding as 2 hours for getting the finest result.
