juniper berries (dried)

In our first trial, hard and dried berries have been precut to < 5mm length. Also a hammer can be used for manual pre crushing.

Complete amount of sample has been fed within 35s. Sieve ring and rotor use to remain free of sample, a grinding of higher amounts should be possible too.

Probably sample does not need to be pre crushed when a sieve ring with reinforced edges will be used (see result 2).

By using a sieve ring with reinforced edges, durability should be way higher. Even with a harsh grinding sound by feeding 10mm dried berries.

A pre crushing of the sample is not necessary.

Complete amount of sample has been fed within 80s. Sieve ring and rotor remain free of residues. Even higher amounts can be ground.

Also second kind of berries (up to 14mm length) can be ground without pre crushing.
