Dry leaves have been fed within 30 seconds. A larger length as recommended for feeding has not been problematic with this sample.
Afterwards, sieve ring and rotor are mainly free of residue. For this, even higher amounts of sample can be ground this way.
Cleaning has been performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush. For intensive cleaning, all parts can be dissembled without using tools and washed with warm and soapy water.
Even sieve rings with smaller trapezoidal perforation might be usable for such a sample.
Usually, majority of ground particles will show a fineness which is smaller than the half of the size of the trapezoidal openings. With a sieve ring with 0,2 mm trapezoidal perforation, a d50 < 100 µm is expected to be found.
