We recommend using a Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 for comminution of this sample. |
Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 Speed 300-3000 rpm |

Equipment: |
rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of tool steel + sieve cassette: 1.00 mm trapezoidal perforation made of stainless steel |

The complete sample amount got fed within 2,5 minutes. After a total grinding time of 4 minutes, grinding sound almost stopped.
Already 90 g of sample got ground after a total of 4 minutes. Inside the grinding chamber, mainly electrostatic charged sample use to be left. Only a few of the openings of the sieve cassette are blocked with sample. Even higher amounts of sample should be grindable this way.
Cleaning of the grinding chamber can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush. The sieve cassette can be cleaned rapidly by using a wired brush.

Second part of sample has been ground with a 0,75 mm sieve cassette. It took about 5 minutes until grinding sound stopped.
Just like result 1, majority of sample got ground, mainly electrostatic charged sample use to stay inside the grinding chamber.
Also a few of the sieve cassettes openings use to be blocked with sample. A grinding of higher amounts is still possible.
Cleaning of grinding chamber can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush. Sieve cassette will be cleaned easily by using a wired brush.
