We recommend using a Variable Speed Rotor Mill PULVERISETTE 14 for comminution of sample. |
Variable Speed Rotor Mill PULVERISETTE 14 classic linerotor speed: 20.000 rpm |

Equipment: |
impact rotor with 12 ribs made of stainless steel + sieve ring: 0,2 mm trapezoidal perforation |

Complete sample amount has been given into the feeding hopper and got ground within 3 minutes.
Usually, sample which got ground with Variable Speed Rotor Mill PULVERISETTE 14 will show a mean size of particles which is smaller as half of the size of the trapezoidal perforated sieve rings. So with a 0,2 mm perforated sieve ring, the present d50 should be smaller as 0,1 mm.
Sieve ring and rotor are mainly free of residues, for a grinding of higher amounts of sample, we recommend using the accessories for grinding large quantities.
Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush. For an intensive cleaning of all grinding parts, they can become dismounted without using tools and cleaned with warm water.

With the used 0,12 mm sieve ring, the trapezoidal perforated openings start to clog with sample after 50 grams got fed.
With the optional accessories for grinding large quantities, airflow will be improved and maximum throughput might become improved. Also the usage of the active sample exhauster system with cyclone separator might be an option to present that sample will start to block the openings of the sieve ring.
Without these optional accessories, we recommend a batch wise grinding of sample (with max. 50 g of sample and a cleaning step afterwards).
