standard rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives made of tool steel
+ sieve cassette: 0,25 mm trapezoidal perforation
Feed quantity:
500 g
Feed Size:
< 3 cm
Grinding time:
30 min
Final fineness:
< 250 µm
Comments:
To prevent a blockage of the openings of such a fine sieve cassette, sample had been fed slowly. After 30 minutes of grinding, the complete sample had been comminuted successfully. Inside the grinding chamber, only a bit of (mainly electrostatic charged) sample dust use to be remain. Cleaning can be performed rapidly by vacuuming with a soft brush.
If a daily grinding should be performed, we would recommend using the optional sample exhauster system with cyclone separator. A previous sample grinding has shown an output of up to 3 kg/h while this trial has been done with only 1 kg/h.
Also less dust will escape the feeding funnel or collecting vessel because of the high airflow of 2800 L/min.
